1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using JarSlice — whether through the website at jarslice.com or the JarSlice mobile application — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you are using JarSlice on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use JarSlice.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use JarSlice.

2. Description of Service

JarSlice is a personal budgeting and income allocation tool developed and operated by Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd. It helps users visualise and plan how to distribute their income across spending categories using established methods such as the Six Jars system and the Five Jars Stewardship system.

JarSlice is offered as:

• A free Progressive Web App (PWA) accessible at jarslice.com
• A free mobile app for Android and iOS, with optional paid Pro features

3. The Web Version Is Free

We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features on the web platform in the future, but any free features that exist today will remain free or be replaced with equivalent functionality.

4. Mobile App and Pro Features

The JarSlice mobile app is available free of charge. It offers an optional one-time upgrade called JarSlice Pro which unlocks additional features including:

• Custom jar percentage splits
• Unlimited allocation history
• PDF / Image export
• Live exchange rates
• Multiple income profiles
• Home screen widget (Android)

Free users may save up to five (5) allocation snapshots. This limit may be adjusted at our discretion with reasonable notice.

5. In-App Purchases

The JarSlice Pro upgrade is a one-time, non-recurring purchase. There is no subscription. Once purchased, JarSlice Pro features are available for the lifetime of the app on the device (subject to the store's terms).

• Purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) and are subject to their respective terms and conditions.
• Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd does not handle or store your payment information.
• Refunds are subject to the refund policies of Google Play and the Apple App Store. We do not independently process refunds.
• If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use the Restore Previous Purchase feature in the app to re-activate your Pro status at no additional cost.

6. Not Financial Advice

The allocation methods presented (Six Jars, Five Jars, and any others) are educational frameworks. They may not be suitable for your individual financial circumstances. Results and outcomes will vary based on personal factors that JarSlice does not and cannot account for.

You should always consult a qualified and licensed financial adviser, accountant, or legal professional before making any financial decisions. Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd expressly disclaims all liability for any decisions made in reliance on information provided by JarSlice.

7. Exchange Rate Data

Live exchange rate data is provided by Frankfurter.app, a third-party service. Exchange rates displayed in JarSlice are for reference and planning purposes only. They may not reflect real-time interbank or market rates. Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of exchange rate data.

JarSlice must not be used as the basis for any currency transaction, wire transfer, remittance, trading, or any other financial operation. We accept no liability for losses arising from reliance on exchange rates displayed in the app.

8. Your Data

All financial data you enter into JarSlice is stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of any data you input. We do not access, transmit, or store your financial information on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Because your data is stored locally, you are solely responsible for maintaining backups. We cannot recover data lost due to device failure, app deletion, or cache clearing.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use JarSlice for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive source code from the JarSlice mobile app.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the JarSlice website.
• Interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or performance of JarSlice or its infrastructure.
• Misrepresent JarSlice or impersonate Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd.
• Use JarSlice to transmit harmful, deceptive, or malicious content.

10. Intellectual Property

JarSlice, its name, logo, design, code, content, and features are the exclusive property of Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use JarSlice for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. No other licence is granted.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

JarSlice is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
• Warranties that JarSlice will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content, calculations, or exchange rate data.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd, its directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
• Damages arising from your reliance on JarSlice for financial decisions.
• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to JarSlice shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $10.00, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Manorlds Eaglespark Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from: (a) your use of JarSlice; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue JarSlice or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. For the mobile app, if you breach these Terms your licence to use JarSlice is automatically revoked. Sections 6, 10, 11, 12, and 13 survive any termination of these Terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated by a notice in the app. Your continued use of JarSlice after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using JarSlice.
